Appliance & Furniture Haul-Away
Fridges, washers, couches, mattresses. Priced per item if it's just one or two things, by truck volume if it's more.
Not every job needs a whole truck
A lot of calls we get are simple: one dead refrigerator, one couch that didn't survive the move, one mattress after a new one showed up. For those, we don't make you pay for truck space you're not using. We price by the item. It's only once you get into two or three pieces plus boxes, or a whole garage worth of stuff, that it makes more sense to price by truck volume instead, and we'll tell you which way is cheaper before you commit.
What we haul, and what it typically runs

Single sofas up through large sectionals that need breaking into sections.
$75 – $175Mattresses & Box Springs
Any size, any condition. Priced per piece, not per set.
$65 – $110Dressers, Tables & Recliners
Bedroom and dining furniture, recliners, entertainment centers.
$65 – $140Multiple items from the same visit usually come with a small combined discount off the per-item add-up, since we're already there with the truck. Ask when you call.
How pricing decides itself
- Tell us the item and quantity. "One fridge" is a different quote than "fridge, washer, dryer, and a couch."
- We tell you which pricing makes sense. Under three items, per-item. Three or more plus general clutter, we'll usually quote it as a quarter or half truck instead using our truck-volume pricing.
- Access gets factored in. A second-floor apartment or a fridge wedged behind a built-in counter takes longer than curbside pickup.
- We confirm price before loading, whichever pricing method applies.
- We load, strap, and haul, then sweep up where the item was sitting.
What makes appliance and furniture jobs harder
Weight and stairs are the two real variables. A standard fridge runs 200 to 300 pounds; a full-size washer or a stone-top dresser can run heavier still, and a flight of stairs or a tight apartment hallway adds real time and sometimes an extra person to the crew. Sectionals that don't break down at the seams sometimes have to go out a window or a patio door instead of a front hallway, which we'll scope out before quoting rather than discover mid-job. And older appliances, especially chest freezers and window units in homes near Port Arthur's refinery-era housing stock, sometimes have refrigerant that needs proper handling rather than a straight toss in the truck.
How long it takes
A single item, curbside or ground floor, is usually a 15 to 20 minute stop. Add stairs or tight access and that stretches to 30 to 40 minutes. Three or four items from one property, our usual definition of a combined visit, typically runs 45 minutes to an hour.

One limit worth knowing
We don't disconnect gas lines, hardwired electrical, or plumbing. If your water heater or range is still connected, have a plumber or electrician disconnect it first. Once it's free and clear, we'll haul it from there.
Appliance & furniture haul-away questions
Do you take just one item, or does it need to be a full load?
Single items are one of our most common calls. We price those per item, not by truck volume, so you're not paying for space you're not using.
Do I need to disconnect the appliance first?
Yes for gas and hardwired electrical connections. Standard plug-in appliances like washers and fridges just need to be unplugged and, for washers, the water lines shut off and disconnected.
Can you get a couch out of a second-floor apartment?
Usually yes, though it may take a two-person crew and adds time to the quote. Tell us about stairs or tight hallways when you call so we quote it accurately the first time.
Is it cheaper to bundle several items into one visit?
Generally yes. Once you're at three or more items plus general clutter, we'll often quote it as a quarter or half truck load instead of item-by-item, which usually comes out cheaper for you.
Do you recycle old appliances instead of landfilling them?
Where local scrap and recycling options make sense for the material, yes, particularly for metal appliance bodies. We'll route it responsibly rather than defaulting to landfill for everything.
